About Us
Owner/engineer Melissa Bell has been recording, producing, and mixing local and independent bands for over 15 years. While she specializes in indie and alternative rock, she loves most all genres of music, and always appreciates when an artist is bringing something special to the table.
Her work has spanned indie, alternative rock, hard rock, punk, folk, alt country, a bit of metal, and even a Japanese-language hip-hop EP. When we say she’s willing to take on any project and work with you to achieve the sound you’re after, we mean it.
She opened Sad Monkey Sound in the fall of 2020 to provide affordable, high-quality music production and mix services to musicians everywhere.
